Our New Canvas and Panel Floater Frames are relatively unique in New Zealand as they are made right here at our Masterart Factory in Tauranga from our own Radiata Pine molding. Not only is the molding unique (in as much as it is not imported) but the way we make the floater frames is unique to us. Where our customers want a painted look we paint the frame after it has been assembled so there are no "scruffy" corners rather than painting the molding then cutting and assembling.
Masterart Floater Frames have been designed specifically for our Masterart Stretched Canvases so the canvas surface sits 1-2 mm below the top edge of the floater - Masterart Floater Frames are suitable for stretcher bars that are 30-32 mm deep.
All of our floater frames are cut to accomodate a 5mm gap between your canvas and the inside edge of the frame. This gap ensures that the canvas looks as though it is floating on the wall.
